Hey, my name is Taz, I'm 16 years old and a writer for the website 'Teenagers with Experience'.
TWE has something for everyone, it deals with a large variety of issues such as: bullying, mental health, educational topics, sexuality confusion and much more - each one backed with both fact and advice from it's writer's perspective. The people who work to make Teenagers with Experience what it is are amazing, dedicated and above all, kind. They care about the themes, each article is wrote with honesty and real life experiences. It is what makes the advice relatable, something which cannot be obtained through a general search on Google.
When I first joined the team, it was through recommendation of a friend, I never truly believed I could fit in and be a part of it all. For a while I blocked most of the members out and kept to myself, as I felt I wasn't like them; I didn't have a past with mental health or sexuality, things that brought most people to TWE. However, over time I learned that it is not all this website is about. Through joining the team, I've learned that it's okay to show emotion, and I believe my style of writing has began to reflect that. It's helped in developing what was once a more rigid tone to one that shows empathy. Not only has this helped my articles for the site, but in school too. It can do the same for you.
If you feel like you could benefit from what has been mentioned, read some articles! If you think you have advice which somebody else could use, send in an application to Emily, any new members are appreciated.
Thank you for reading.
