Pick a colour that’s soothing to you and stare at it (blue and green often work the best as they are neutral colours).Its very likely that your mind will wonder, but for this method to work you must keep redirecting your mind to focusing on the blank wall.
Make a list
If there are some specific things that are causing you to stress, write them down on a list and write down some possible solutions you could consider. This helps because when you wake up with these things on your mind you will be able to assure yourself that they are on the list and you have a plan for dealing with them.
